Dinner recipes can be hard to come up with day after day, meal after meal. Many people get into a menu rut, rotating between the same dinner recipes endlessly. Sometimes old favorite recipes get forgotten as people eat the same things. It’s all haphazard and kind of random. Now that more people are more focused on other things like work, it’s not easy to plan and execute a healthy menu.
Prior planning is important when designing a menu and recipes to cook from it. People who take some time to plan out menus can select a wider variety of recipes. Sure the food is important, but so is the atmosphere around the meal. Everyone can enjoy the same basic food if it’s made into a variety of different meals.
Try ground beef. Add some flour, vegetables such as onions, tomatoes and lettuce. That’s a hamburger, right? Well, it’s also tacos. People consider them quite different even though hamburgers and tacos share a lot of basic food elements in common. Many different meals can come from one food. Now for another one. Chicken and potatoes. Fried chicken and French fries aren’t too healthy. Roasting both will save the waist line. More riffs on the same basic song. Many people eat chicken salad sandwiches with chips on the side. Chicken pot pie. Chicken Teriyaki comes with rice, a starch just like the potatoes. There it is, a lot of variety from only a few basic foods.
Try more than one meat. Delicious kebabs come from chicken and steak along with some vegetables. Steak and lobster is fun for adults and kids. Some people even like to fry a turkey and serve fish and chips as an early appetizer. It’s all made in the same deep fryer.
What about sources for dinner meal recipes? There’s a television network dedicated to food, which shows a lot of cooking programs. The shows have lots of cooking ideas, and even associated web sites where more dinner recipes can be found. Speaking of on line, food ideas abound on web sites. Try a Google or MSN search for dinner ideas. It would take more than a life time to read every cooking web site and online food tip.
